UK Govt Finance for Post-Graduate Study

One of the most common questions we get asked at Escape Studios is about the financing of post graduate courses.

The UK Government's student loan system for postgraduate master's degrees is now well established.  A system of low interest loans provides students in the UK with access to postgraduate university courses - including our own MA in 3D Animation, and our MA in Storyboarding & Previsualisation.  Prospective students who would like to do post-graduate study with us can borrow up to £11,222 in the coming academic year.

Government help is available
Government funded loans
The government-backed student loans were first made available from 2016-17. They now benefit not just undergraduate students but also students seeking to study at post-graduate level. Since our MA in 3D Animation costs £17,995 (or £13,210 if we have to run it completely online), the loan system covers a significant proportion of the cost of study.

Animation is a qualifying subject
The Government loans are offered in any master's subject, including animation.

Age restrictions
Loans are available to students under 60 on the first day of the first academic year of your course.

Award-winning "Flame" was made by our MA students
British/Live in the UK
You need to be based in the UK to qualify. But see the official page for details on who exactly qualifies.

Loan, not Grant
The loans must ultimately be repaid, concurrently with any undergraduate loans.
