Escape Studios ATC for Toonboom Harmony

We're delighted to announce that Escape Studios has been re-confirmed as an ATC (Authorised Training Centre) for Toonboom Harmony, one of the leading software packages for the creation of 2D animation.

2D Animation has been experiencing a revival, with many 2D productions being animated in the UK. 

In particular, Blue Zoo, Aardman and Passion Pictures (and others) have chosen Toonboom Harmony as their 2D animation platform.

For all our students studying 2D animation with Toonboom Harmony, Toonboom have supplied many free Resources for learning  Harmony. 

On a recent visit to Escape Studios from the Toonboom team, UK Toonboom rep Andy Wyatt and Toonboom Director Isabelle Bilodeau were keen to make sure that our students have the necessary resources to make the best use of their software.  Below are some resources from Toonboom on how to make the best use of Harmony.

We're proud to present our 2024 2D Animation Reel.  Here at Escape Studios we've been expanding our 2D animation capacity for some years, starting with our Evening Classes in Toonboom Harmony, and now offering our undergraduate animation students a new 2D Animation Pathway, focusing on digital tools such as Toonboom Harmony, Adobe Animate and Blender.  The 2D Animation industry has been going through a renaissance, and we're proud to offer our students a chance to be a part of it.  This month we also became a formally accredited Toonboom Harmony Authorised Training Centre (ATC).

We're extending a warm welcome to animator Shane Woodson who will soon join Escape Studios to teach our second year animation students the art of 2D character and creature animation. 

Shane Woodson is an experienced 2D animator whose credits include Mog's Christmas and Peter and the Wolf. 

Shane also has extensive experience with Toonboom Harmony, one of the leading software packages for delivering 2d animation.

Calling all 2D Animators at Escape Studios - Toonboom is offering a "Black Friday" sale on student licenses of Toonboom Harmony.

We've uploaded a new series of animation tutorials in Toonboom Harmony for our Vimeo Tutorial Channel with veteran animator and Escape Studios' tutor Steven Lall.  

The Escape Studios Vimeo Tutorial Channel is our main hub for our animation and VFX video tutorials, supporting our in-class tuition.  Our tutorials cover Animation, VFX, Compositing, Rigging, Motion Graphics, Storyboarding & Character Design, Unreal Engine and Cinematography.
