Chevening Scholarship For Overseas Students

For overseas students applying to Escape Studios for our masters' degree courses, one possible source of finance for post-graduate study is Chevening, a UK Govt financed scholarship that pays for overseas students to come and study in the UK.

Applications for Chevening Scholarships open in August, though some Chevening Fellowships are already open.

To find out more, visit the official Chevening site here.

About Chevening

Chevening House
The Chevening Scholarship is an international scholarship scheme which enables students with leadership qualities from over 160 countries and territories to undertake postgraduate study or courses in universities in the United Kingdom.

Funding from UK Govt
Funding for Chevening comes from the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and its partner organisations.  In October 2018, the Chevening Scholarships Programme awarded 1,800 scholarships from 160 countries for 2018-19.

That sounds like a lot, but Chevening scholarships are competitive.  However, applicants to our post-graduate students should be aware that there are a number of possible ways to finance post-graduate study in the UK.
