Introducing "Lumi"

Meet "Lumi", the latest short film created by our second year animation students at Escape Studios.  Lumi was directed by Maye Liu, co-directed by Sirisha Mutty, and produced by Amy Little.  Lumi was completed as part of Studio Module PR5001, a collaborative module in which second-year animation students work together on short film projects.

Many congratulations to Escapee Ben Swallow who has recently joined Aardman Animation's "Pop Paper City" as a junior animator.

"Pop Paper City" is a new animated TV series being distributed by Aardman Animations and produced by Lovelove films.  Pop Paper City is a preschool craft TV show. The series focuses on a group of paper friends as they find ways to have fun together by creating new parts of their paper world. 

While at Escape Studios, Ben contributed to a number of award-winning short films at Escape Studios, including Hannibelle, "Explosive Love" and "Freefall". 

Alex and Ben "Top 11" in Eleven Second Club

Many congratulations to our Studio Assistants Alex Maynard and Ben Swallow whose contribution to the December 2022 "The 11 Second Club" competition has made it onto the "Top 11" 11 Second Club Leaderboard.  Alex and Ben shared the animation of the two characters conducting an alien abduction of an unsuspecting human - a clever and imaginative take on the line of dialogue, winning them a spot at No 9.  Well done to them both on making the Top 11 (The 11 Second Club always "goes to 11").

Meet "Explosive Love", the latest short animated film created at Escape Studios.  "Explosive Love" was directed by Alba Rodriguez and produced by Rohnak Sharma.  "Explosive Love" tells the story of a lonely puffer fish looking for love - in an unlikely place.
