Escapee Victoria Arraez Joins ILM

Victoria Arraez
Many congratulations to Escapee Victoria Arraez has joined ILM as a Production Runner. Working as a runner is a standard entry-level position in our industry which can - and often does - lead to a full time production role.  

Victoria Arraez studied The Art of Visual Effects at Escape Studios, and worked on a number of award-winning films, including Papercut and Curiosities of the Ruthless Roupell St.

"Roupell St" Wins Hon Mention in Athens Fest

Congratulations to the makers of the short VFX film "Curiosities of The Ruthless Roupell St", which has won an Honourable Mention for Best VFX at the Athens Film Festival. 

Directed by Oliver Chenery and produced by Victoria Arraez"Curiosities of The Ruthless Roupell St"  was created by our undergraduate VFX students at Escape Studios. 

Milo Marshall was the 2D Lead, and cinematography was by Clement Gharini.

The film has won many festival awards.

"Roupell St" Wins "Best Trailer" at VIZ Fest

Congratulations to the makers of the short VFX film "Curiosities of The Ruthless Roupell St", which has won "Best Trailer" at the Viz Film Festival Awards. 

Directed by Oliver Chenery and produced by Victoria Arraez"Curiosities of The Ruthless Roupell St"  has won many festival awards.

This is its fourth festival award.

The Rookies was founded in 2009 to "showcase the most talented student designers, illustrators, film makers, animators, developers, digital artists, and launch them into the career of their dreams."

"Papercut" Wins "Best Micro Short" at UAE Film Fest

Many congratulations to makers of the VFX short film "Papercut", which has won "Best Micro Short" at the United Arab Emirates International Film Festival. 
  
Directed by Giorgos Konstantinou and produced by Victoria ArraezPapercut was a collaboration between 3rd year undergraduate animation and vfx students, working together to create a short film.  The original score was composed by Lorenzo Pelli.

Studio projects such as this one are part of what we call The Escape Method - bringing together students with multiple talents to work in teams and produce an industry-quality outcome. 

This is the latest of many festival awards for Papercut.

Introducing "Papercut"



Escape Studios is proud to present "Papercut", the latest short film created by our animation and VFX students at Escape Studios.  Directed by Giorgos Konstantinou and produced by Victoria ArraezPapercut was a collaboration between 3rd year undergraduate animation and vfx students, working together to create an original short film.  Studio projects such as this one are part of what we call The Escape Method - bringing together students with multiple talents to work in teams and produce an industry-quality outcome.
