Summer of Unreal Comes to an End

Our #SummerOfUnreal has come to an end; many congratulations to everyone who participated.  

We were all amazed by the quality of the group projects that were showcased last week. 

#SummerOfUnreal marks a new era for the European animation industry; in four weeks we trained over 1000 animation professionals on Unreal Engine with the help of 24 top industry trainers & presenters, and with the support from all our Escape Studios staff and European colleagues.

"Summer of Unreal" Training Begins

Our free four-week course in Unreal Engine began yesterday,  offering training in Unreal Engine for industry professionals.  The Summer of Unreal is a free, four-week boot camp created in collaboration with Epic Games, teaching artists practical real-time skills in Unreal Engine.  The event is designed and hosted by Escape Studios, the UK’s first and only Unreal Authorised Training Center.

If you work in the animation or 3D CGI industry in Europe, in games, VFX, motion graphics or film & TV  (or teaching these subjects), come and join our free four-week course in Unreal Engine, starting 26 July.

"Unreal Fortnight" Free Training 15-26 March

Escape Studios is proud to announce "Unreal Fortnight", a new training opportunity for real-time rendering in Unreal Engine from 15-26 March.    

Escape Studios is partnering with Epic Games and ScreenSkills to create "Unreal Fortnight", a series of short training courses in Unreal Engine,  to help retrain UK film production in the latest rendering  technology. The course is free for freelancers and furloughed workers; there is a small fee for sole traders and micro-SMEs.

We are delighted to announce that Escape Studios has been officially certified by Epic Games as an Unreal Engine Authorised Training Centre (ATC).

This makes us the only officially certified Unreal Engine ATC in the UK.

Escape Studios began life as a software company, so it's not surprising that we have a strong focus on teaching the latest technology.  Unreal Engine offers our animators real-time rendering, saving huge amounts of time in production.

We are proud to announce that Escape Studios is now an Unreal Engine ATC (Authorized Training Center); the only one in the UK and one of only two in Europe.  We are very honoured to be selected to be part of the program and to help train people in Unreal Engine.  As well as our Short Courses, UG and Masters programs we also train companies in UE4, most recently London VFX powerhouse Framestore.  Unreal's real time rendering capabilities, Blueprint system and ease of use is not only changing the games industry but the CGI industry as a whole, helping to speed up the process of animation, previsualisation, virtual reality and architectural visualisation.

Escape Studios Opens Epic Games Sizzle Reel

We're proud to announce that this year's Epic Games "Sizzle Reel" showcase opens with the work of our very own games students at Escape Studios.  During this year's Game Developers Conference (GDC), Epic Games showcased a selection of the most impressive content created by students all around the world.  Not only were was the work of our students at Escape Studios selected for the start of the reel, but also we had the largest number of entries: seven in total.  Congratulations to all our amazing students and alumni for doing such great work.
