"Rainbow Spotlight" event at Cinesite in Soho

Escape Studios Students visited the London VFX and animation studio Cinesite recently for  a "Rainbow Spotlight" event - hosted by Cinesite at their Soho premises.  

This special animation and vfx event was hosted by Siggraph and "Bring Your Own Animation" (BYOA) and took place on 24 September 2026 at Cinesite in London from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. 

Among the guests were a number of our students as well as Escape Studios' animation tutor Kevin Richards - who reported on the event. 

Funny Fail Stories on Tuesday 29 October

Funny Fail Stories is coming; book your seats on Tuesday 29 October for tales of failure from the world of animation and VFX.

Hosted by Escape Studios' tutor Simone Giampaolo, and sponsored by Escape Studios, this event takes place at Zigfried Von Underbelly at 11 Hoxton Square, London N1, just a 5 minute walk from Old St Tube station.

Speakers bringing tales of disaster and near-disaster in the animation and VFX industry include Alina Bopele from Studio AKA,  Sabina Janetzka from Cinesite, and Stefano Marrone from Nucco Brain.

The event is also supported by the London chapter of SIGGRAPH.

Tech Talks at BAFTA - Starts Tomorrow!

London SIGGRAPH is organising the second annual TECHTALKS, starting tomorrow August 31st. The event is being held in association with VFX powerhouse Double Negative, and is sponsored by Autodesk, makers of Maya, the animation software that is now the dominant platform in our industry.

TechTalks is a two-day conference which focuses on the technical side of our industry. As always, we strongly recommend that our students attend events of this kind. It's always good to know where the industry is heading, and you never know who you might meet.
