Meet Your Tutors - Enrico Buffa.  Enrico Buffa is an experienced London-based visual development artist who teaches our Evening Class in Concept Art at Escape Studios.

Enrico has worked for animation studios such as Blue Zoo, Boulder Media, and Studio Bozzetto in Milan.  Enrico's screen credits include Transformers, It's a Pony, and Superbook.

This is the twelfth festival award for Adam & Eve Mk II,  a sci-fi re-telling of the Genesis story, which recently won "Best SciFi Short" at the Mid West Horror Film Festival, and was Runner-Up in the category of "Best College Short" at the Brooklyn Sci-Fi Film Festival.  Sebastian Kuder graduated from Escape Studios in the summer of 2019 and is currently working as a PreVis Artist at The Third Floor in London.

Adam & Eve Mk II won Best Sci-Fi (Runner Up) and also was awarded Runner-Up in the Category of Best Special Effects.

Congratulations to Sebastian Kuder, director of "Adam & Eve Mk II", which has won a Runner-Up award in the category of "Best College Short" at the Brooklyn Sci-Fi Film Festival last week.
  
A number of other films from Escape Studios were finalists in the same category, including "Joe", directed by Callum Reeve, "Moon Rockz", directed by Molly Babington, and "Over Under", directed by Lucy Harris.

"Joe" wins Director's Choice Award

Many congratulations to the makers of Adam & Eve Mk II and Joe, which have both won the "Director's Choice" award at the Sci-On film festival in Reno, Nevada.

Adam & Eve Mk II is a modern re-telling of the Genesis story; Joe is a short story about a cleanup robot that goes wrong.

Despite the challenges caused by the Corona lockdown, and many festivals cancelling or moving online, our student films continue to experience growing festival success.

Escape Students Win Multiple Awards at BIAFF

Many congratulations to the makers of "The Golden Acorn", directed by Maciej Osuch, which recently won Nominee, Best Trailer at the Bucharest Shortcut Cinefest. You can see the official awards page here.

"Adam & Eve Mk II" has also won Best Animation at the British International Amateur Film Festival.

In addition, , "Jelly Cars" and "Flame" won "Five Star Awards" at the British International Amateur Film Festival, and  "Jerich0", "Joe", "March of the Potguins", "Draw" and "Offcut", all won "Four Star Awards".

Congratulations to Sebastian Kuder, director of "Adam & Eve Mk II", on a double win at last Saturday's Wild Indie Sci-fi & Fantasy Film Festival.
  
"Adam & Eve Mk II" picked up two laurels; Runner Up in the Category of "Short Film Under 5 minutes", and Runner Up in the category of "Best Digital VFX". 

"Offcut" Selected for Dirigo Film Festival

Many congratulations to the makers of "Offcut", whose film has been selected for its first festival entry - the Dirigo 6th International Student Film Festival 2020.

The event takes place at the Arnolfini Arts Centre, Bristol on Monday,  January 27th 2020 from 18:45 pm. Tickets are free.

Our short film Flame, directed by Cherelle Owusu, is a finalist at the Horsham Film Festival, which takes place on 13th February. You can buy tickets for £10 here.

And Sebastian Kuder's graduation film Adam & Eve Mk II has been selected for the Brussels Independent Film Festival on February 9th, and the Wild Indie Sci-fi & Fantasy Film Festival in Greenwich, which takes place on 1 February. Tickets are on sale now at Event Brite for £10.

Many congratulations to Escapee Sebastian Kuder, director of Adam & Eve Mk II, which has won the Audience award at the ICONA film festival in the Best Student Short Film category.

The ICONA festival takes place annually on the island of Corfu.

Sebastian's award represents the latest in a long line of wins for student films at Escape Studios.

Escape Studios in Golden Nugget Fest 3 Dec

GNFF - Leeds, 6 December 2019

Many congratulations to our student animators - our short films The Good Old Days,  Home Sweet Home, Jericho, Flame, Vivi Ossa, Adam & Eve Mk II and Reece have all been selected for the Golden Nugget Film Festival. 

The festival takes place in Leeds on Tuesday 3rd December 2019, and you can buy tickets here.

We're delighted to have no less than seven student films in the competition, and we're encouraging our students to attend, vote in the audience award, and offer applause and support.

Many congratulations to Sebastian Kuder, director of Adam & Eve Mk II, which has won the award for Best Short Film Under 5 Minutes at the Arch 1 Festival of Film in London this week.

The award represents the latest in a long line of wins for student films at Escape Studios.

Adam & Eve: Mk II is a sci-fi re-telling of the Genesis story, written and directed by Sebastian Kuder, who has directed and animated a number of short films at Escape Studios over the last three years, including Planet Mars and The Good Old Days.
