Drawing Club is returning to Escape Studios on Tuesday January 15th, starting off the year with a  class for absolute beginners.

Even if you can barely draw a stick figure - come along and get stuck in.

Our Studio Assistants, including Drawing Club supremo Steve Lall, will be on hand to lead the class, presenting drawing challenges such as quick gesture drawings to capture a fast pose.

Drawing club takes place on Tuesdays in the basement at 190 High Holborn from 4:30pm until 5:30pm. All are welcome.

Drawing club will be taking place on Tuesdays in the basement at 190 High Holborn: Morning session at 11:30-12:30 and afternoon session at 4:30-5:30.

Learn Gesture Drawing at YouTube with Proko

Gesture drawing is an important skill for animators - it helps us learn how to capture a pose, and to master the art of visual storytelling. After all, planning your animation with quick thumbnail sketches that tell a story is still one of the core skills of the 3D animator - it's why we still need to know how to draw - at least just a little bit.  Here at Escape Studios we're recommending this series of videos by Proko, all hosted for free at his YouTube channel.
