How does Escape Studios work?

How does Escape Studios work? We are a part of Pearson College London (PCL), which is in turn owned by Pearson, a FTSE 100 Company, with a long history dating back to the 1840s, but which today focuses mainly on education.

PCL is however a separate legal entity from Pearson. We are a non-profit organisation, and our independence is very important to our operation as an academic community.

Recently The Times did an interview with Roxanne Stockwell, principal of Pearson College London, of which Escape Studios forms a part.

It's a very interesting piece, and in it you will find out where Roxanne thinks Pearson College London might be in a few years' time.

It's a vision of us becoming a "boutique university", limited in size, and not trying to compete directly with UK universities.

Anim Fam Comes to Escape Studios Tomorrow!

Here at Escape Studios we're excited to be hosting the AnimFam (Animation Familiarisation) event with Film London tomorrow, March 9th.

AnimFam offers a forum for London’s top animation studios to pitch their work to visiting animation executives from overseas studios, and is one of the ways that Film London is helping to take advantage of the tax breaks which in recent years have led to a big expansion of animation production here in the UK.

The event is being hosted at our Pearson HQ at 80 Strand - one of London's most iconic and historic streets.

Come along to our free Animation and VFX Experience Day on Saturday 31st October! We will be giving our prospective students an insight into what we do here at Escape Studios.  This will be similar to the taster day we did at Escape earlier this year - though with much more emphasis on animation and games. We'll be showing you some cool animation tools and giving you a feeling for what our course is like, and how we plan on creating the very best course in computer animation in the UK.

Escape Studios have long been London's leading provider of short courses for the visual effects industry, with an enviable track record in placing students in the growing animation and VFX industry in London and around the globe.  Now, as a part of Pearson college, we are launching a new four-year BA/MA in computer animation in September 2016.  I will be designing, running and teaching the course.
