Escape Students Win Awards at Sci-On Fest

"Joe" wins Director's Choice Award

Many congratulations to the makers of Adam & Eve Mk II and Joe, which have both won the "Director's Choice" award at the Sci-On film festival in Reno, Nevada.

Adam & Eve Mk II is a modern re-telling of the Genesis story; Joe is a short story about a cleanup robot that goes wrong.

Despite the challenges caused by the Corona lockdown, and many festivals cancelling or moving online, our student films continue to experience growing festival success.

Adam & Eve Mk II

Multi-award-winning "Adam & Eve Mk II", directed by Sebastian Kuder, has been winning awards in film festivals for almost a year.  It has also been selected for six upcoming festivals:

• NIFF - New Indie Festival of London, May 30th Online

Joe

Joe is a story about a cleanup robot that goes wrong. It was directed by Callum Reeve and Produced by Aidan Lonergan. Joe has also been selected for:

• Heroes Film Festival, which takes place in Rome on May 30th, Corona permitting. 
• McMinnville SciFi Festival, Oregon, Sept 18 2020
• Lisbon Film Rendezvous, November 13-15, Semi-Finalist
• Watford Film Festival, July 25-26

Escape Studios Festival News

Many films from Escape Studios are in festivals over the coming weeks, despite many festivals being cancelled, postponed, or simply moving online.

Hotel Aloha, directed by Paloma Zhu, has been accepted for three festivals:

• the Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards on 1-3 May 2020
• Semi-Finalist in #LockDownLogOn in Los Angeles on May 31st. 
• Flicks Monthly Film Festival, online, July 27th 2020

Death From Above, directed by 2nd year animation student Jordan Coles, was a finalist in the TMFF - The Monthly Film Festival on April 30th. It has also been selected for five upcoming festivals:

• Pinewood Studios' Online Lift-Off Sessions on 14 June.

Quarantine Chorus
Quarantine Chorus, directed by Edoardo Sartori and produced by Nickoel Izharudin, has been selected for its first two festivals:
