Meet Your Tutors: Edmund Brown

Ed Brown
Edmund "Ed" Brown is one of our key Motion Graphics tutors; he teaches Cinema 4D and leads our 12 Week Course in Motion Graphics at Escape Studios, which starts up in September 2022.

Ed is a CG Generalist and Motion Designer working in broadcast and entertainment visuals, as well as West End theatre work. 

Ed in trained in video production, media studies, film and video and digital screen arts.  Ed began his career as a 2D animator, and now specialises in motion graphics in Cinema 4D.

Ed made the switch from 2D character animation to 3D digital art, focusing on Cinema 4D, now industry-standard software for motion graphics work.

Professional Experience
Background art for "Lehman Bros"
Ed created the CG environment art for West Side Story on Broadway in NYC, which won an award for Outstanding Projection Design at the 2020 Drama Desk Awards. 

In addition, Ed contributed concept and background art for stage production of The Lehman Trilogy,  in theatres in Broadway and London's West End. Ed also rigged the 3D models for the band Take That for their 2019 arena tour.  He has also contributed art for the fashion house Louis Vuitton and the 2020 Milan Fashion Week.
