Video Tutorials for Character & Creature Creation

Lizard Man by Paul Strachan
Escape Studios Head of Creative Technology Michael Davies has curated a list of online resources for our BSc/MSci in Character Creation, our MA in Character & Creature Creation, and our Evening Class in Character & Creature Creation

Our new BSc/MSci in Character Creation for Animation builds on our successful MA in Character & Creature Creation.  In both courses, students learn the character creation pipeline from concept to final implementation.  The video tutorials are intended to complement our classroom teaching.

BSc/MSci in Character Creation
Demon by Sara Sanchez
The BSc/MSci in Character Creation is a new course, part of our new suite of BSc/MSci courses. Students learn the character creation pipeline from concept to implementation, developing models, character rigs and FX, including simulations of muscles, cloth and fur.

Technical & Art Skills
Students work in teams in both technical and artistic capacities across different outputs such as complex character simulations, and real-time and interactive production environments, such as virtual reality and other forms of interactive entertainment.

Vimeo Channel Content
Escape Studios Vimeo Channel
There is a lot of content on the Escape Studios Vimeo Channel which covers most of the major aspects of the new BSc course, as well as the Short Course & MA and Evening Class in Character & Creature Creation.

These are intended to compliment the teaching in class rather than replace the course content or act as a substitute for what happens in class.
