Side Quest Wins "Best First-Time Director"

Congratulations to the makers of "Side Quest", which has won "Best First-Time Director" at the Halicarnassus Film Festival. 

Side Quest is an adventure story set in a distant fantasy land, in which a brave knight embarks on a quest to free a Princess from a vicious dragon

"Side Quest" was directed by Jess Hiles and produced by Priya Shah. This is the film's first festival award.

"Side Quest" ia short film created by students at Escape Studios, an adventure story set in a distant fantasy land, in which a brave knight embarks on a quest to free a Princess from a vicious dragon.  Will our hero pull through and save the damsel - or will he fall victim to the world's many side quests?  

Studio Project

"Side Quest" was directed by Jess Hiles and produced by Priya Shah as part of PR6001, a Studio Module in which our third year animation students collaborate to produce short films.

Software

"Side Quest" was animated in Maya, edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and rendered in Unreal Engine.
