A Long Way Home Wins Best Trailer at HEIFEST
Congratulations to the makers of A Long Way Home, which has won Best Trailer at the Heart of Europe International Film Festival (HEIFEST).

A Long Way Home is a teaser/trailer directed by Harrison Bell and produced by Josiah Martin-Lofters, about an orphan girl searching for her biological mother.  It has won many festival awards. 

A Long Way Home
"A Long Way Home" is a story about an orphan who goes on a journey to find her biological mother; the film is based on an original idea by Harrison Bell.  The short is a trailer for a feature film currently in development. "A Long Way Home" was animated in Maya, edited in Premiere Pro, and rendered in Arnold.  You can watch the trailer below - it is less than two minutes long. 

Second Year Studio Module 
"A Long Way Home" was completed by our second-year undergraduate animation students as part of Studio Module PR5001, a collaborative module in which students work together on short film projects, simulating as closely as possible the workings of a real animation studio.

Rigs
Thanks to all the modellers and riggers who created the character rigs used in the film.  "A Long Way Home" made use of "Bonnie" by Josh Sobel, "Malcolm" by AnimSchool, "Cody" by Ahmed Elmatarawi, and "Sam & Amy" by Gabriel Salas.

Original Score
The original score was provided by Stuart Bramwell, a musician and composer studying at Berklee College of Music for his Masters' Degree in Scoring for Film and TV.  Stuart's specialism is in writing music for animation.
