Maria Robertson

Many congratulations to Escape Studios undergraduate animation student Maria Robertson who is working as an animator at Spliced Animation Studio in Manchester. 

Maria Robertson studied the Art of Computer Animation at Escape Studios, graduating with a First-Class Degree.  While at Escape, Maria also worked on a number of award-winning short films, including Home Sweet Home, Planet Mars and Minuet.

Spliced embraces remote working, with team members based in the UK, USA, Canada and beyond.

At Escape Studios, Maria Robertson wrote and directed the award-winning short film Home Sweet Home, which won the Best Student Film at the British Animation Film Festival.  In her second year, Maria worked on Planet Mars, and in her final year Maria worked on Minuet.  

Finalist at The Rookies

Maria's animation demo reel reached the finals at the annual Rookies contest for Rookie Animator of the Year.

Animation Tutorials
Maria also contributed a number of creature locomotion videos for our Vimeo Tutorial Library, showing how to animate quadrupeds (walks, trots and runs) and also a six legged creature.
