"Spidey Swing" by Giorgos Konstantinou

Check out the "Spidey" parkour animation above by Escape Studios third year animation student Giorgos Konstaninou.  Giorgos has been working on a number of animation exercises over the past year, as well as directing the multiple-award-winning short "Papercut", which has enjoyed considerable festival success.  Giorgos' animation displays a growing mastery of locomotion and mechanics, as well as cinematography, graphic design, sound design and comic timing.

In 2022 Giorgos directed the award-winning short film "Papercut", which was completed as part of the VFX Project, in which VFX and animation students come together to work on a group project, designed to simulate as closely as possible a real animation studio production.  In early 2022 Giorgos also contributed to the award-winning short film "Explosive Love" as editor and animator. 

Rookie of The Year

Also in 2022 Giorgos Konstaninou was ranked in the annual "Rookie of the Year" Competition, in the category of 3D Animation at the 2022 Rookies.  The Rookies are an important showcase for international animation talent and we recommend that all our students enter.   Giorgos is currently in his third year of studies at Escape Studios, studying for his BA in the Art of Computer Animation.

• "Freefall"

all of which have enjoyed festival success.
