Meet your animation tutors - Steve Lall is one of our newest animation tutor at Escape Studios. Steve has a decade of experience of working in advertising and animation, both 2D and 3D.
From January 2023 Steve will teach AN4001, the core animation module that all our first year undergraduates must tackle.
2D Animation Showreel
Steve Lall is also part of the design team at Escape which involves running the Drawing Club, and creating art and promotion material for Escape Studios.
Steve Lall teaches AN4001 "Locomotion & Mechanics" to our first year animation students, and also 2D Animation in Toonboom Harmony to our second year animation students.
Steve's broad animation skillset also includes graphic design, film editing, lighting & rendering, and also managing the motion capture pipeline.
Steve Lall
Steve Lall has a BA in Animation from the University of Creative Arts, and a Diploma in Art and Design from Oxford Brookes University. Prior to joining Escape Studios Steve worked in the advertising industry.
AN4001 - Animation Foundation

AN4001 is a 15 Credit module that teaches the fundamentals of character and creature animation. The module lasts four weeks, and covers all the basic principles of animation from bouncing ball to locomotion and mechanics.
