Why Animators Should Submit Early

Don't wait until the very last minute!
Deadlines matter, and for all our students at Escape Studios, it is very important to submit formal assessed work on time.

At Escape Studios the animation lecturers have very little leeway in accepting late submissions.  Our recommendation to all our  students is this: Don't wait until the due date to submit your work.  Instead, aim to submit your work the night before.

Submit Early
Don't be late!
The advantage of submitting the night before is that you can still deal with any last minute or unexpected problems. Common problems with submission include Wi-Fi problems (especially when home networks go down unexpectedly), and also not having read the Assignment Brief correctly.  Submit your work early, and there is still time to amend any mistakes. Submit just before the deadline, and there is no time to fix any errors or omissions.

Submit Early - Even if It Isn't Perfect
Sometimes students submit late because they worry that their work isn't good enough.  We encourage all our students to hand in whatever you have done - however imperfect - before the deadline.  It may be that the work you have done so far is not the best representation of your abilities, due to circumstances outside your control.  However, handing in something is always better than handing in nothing.  We can only give a zero if nothing is submitted.
