Locksmith's Shelley Page Visits Escape Studios

Shelley Page
Locksmith Animation Key Talent and Artist Liaison Shelley Page will be at Escape Studios tomorrow to give our second year animation students industry feedback on their short film projects.

Shelley has been working in feature animation since 1986, with credits including "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", "Shrek 1-4", "Shark Tale", "Madagascar", "Kung Fu Panda", and "How to Train Your Dragon".

As always, engagement with industry is very much at the heart of what we do at Escape Studios

Studio Project Module PR5001
Shelley will be looking at our second year animation projects, part of the Studio Project Module PR5001, a film-making module in which our students create short animated films, working in small groups to a variety of creative briefs.

Regular industry feedback is a key part of how our students learn at Escape Studios

Shelley Page
Shelley is currently Key Talent and Artist Liaison at Locksmith Animation in London, the studio that last year released "Ron's Gone Wrong"

Shelly has been working in feature animation since 1986. She has credits on dozens of animated films
including "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", "Shrek 1-4", "Shark Tale", "Madagascar", "Kung Fu Panda", and "How to Train Your Dragon".

Shelley started her career in animation in London with animation director Richard Williams, author of "The Animator's Survival Kit" - the core textbook all our students use.  From 1987 she was head of backgrounds on Disney's "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", and in 1989 she was head of backgrounds at Steven Spielberg's Amblimation Studio.  In 1995 she moved to Los Angeles as one of the first team of artists to join Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen's new studio, DreamWorks Animation, as co-head of Artist Development.

Advisory Board Member
Shelley is also a member of the advisory board at Escape Studios, helping us to ensure that our programmes are up-to-date and industry relevant.
