Animator Paul Harrison Joins Escape Studios

We're delighted to welcome back veteran animator, tutor, VFX Supervisor and 3D generalist Paul Harrison, who will be teaching our third year undergraduate animation students.

Paul brings a wealth of animation and VFX experience to Escape Studios; he has worked for clients including The Mill, DNEG, Prodigious, Smoke and Mirrors, Mainframe, and the BBC.

Paul is also a comic book artist and writer, and a content creator for children’s media. He is the creator of the Urban Squirrel series of comics.

London South Bank University 
Paul Harrison also has experience in higher education, having worked at London South Bank University where he taught the art of games to first and second year students, using Maya, Photoshop, After Effects and Unity, as well as supervising 3rd year creative game projects. 

Pipeline Trainer & Tutor
Paul has also worked as a pipeline trainer at DNEG, and also worked for Escape Studios back in our Shepherd's Bush days, teaching animation and visual effects on our short courses. 

Third year of undergraduate animation studies
Paul will take over the third year of undergraduate animation studies from Michael Davies, who is heading up our new MA in Character and Creature Creation.  You can see more about the third year of studies at this blog post

Creative and Tech Skills
Paul's creative and technical skills are a perfect fit for managing the short vfx and animated films produced by our students in their third year of undergraduate studies.
