About Toonboom Harmony
Toonboom is a Montreal-based software company that makes Harmony and also Toonboom Storyboard Pro. Toonboom Harmony is a very flexible software package that allows the user to combined 2D rigged puppet-style animation with the ability to hand-draw elements in the traditional way. Toonboom president Francois Lalonde, Head of Sales Bradley Kravitz and Toonboom UK representative Andy Wyatt will visit us on Monday.

New Harmony Licenses
We're in the processing of installing new annual licenses in Toonboom Harmony, as we launch our new 2D Animation Pathway at undergraduate level, and also for our evening class in 2D Animation.

2D Animation Revival
A 2D animation revival is in progress. Here in the UK Blue Zoo Animation, Passion Pictures and Blinkink are all expanding into 2D animation with Harmony. As a result there are opportunities for 2D animators - as long as they are properly trained in the right software.

Harmony Evening Class
Our 10 week Harmony evening class covers the basics of locomotion and mechanics in animation, and also 2D rigging, and aims to get students familiar with the software, to enable them to apply for the many studios in the UK and overseas that are embracing this software package.
2D Software Skills
The course is aimed at animators wanting to acquire 2D software skills. This course will enable students to learn the basics of 2D animation using Toonboom Harmony; no prior knowledge of the software is required.
Evening Class
Students will be expected to attend an evening class one night a week, and will be set simple projects to do in-class. You will also have the opportunity to develop your portfolio or demo reel, with an industry brief.
Industry Mentor
Our industry mentor for our 10 week evening class is Blue Zoo, who use ToonBoom Harmony, and have lately recruited a substantial number of 2D animators. As with all our courses, the class builds up to a live industry brief, ensuring that student work is well targeted towards employers looking to recruit talent.
