D.A.N.S Wins Best VFX at Future of Film Awards

D.A.N.S wins "Best VFX" at the Future of Film Awards
Escape Studios is delighted to congratulate the makers of the VFX short D.A.N.S which has won "Best VFX" at the Future of Film Awards.

Produced by Rajun Madahar and Directed by Charlie WilsonD.A.N.S was a collaboration between third year undergraduate animation students and VFX students, working together to create an original short film.  Owen Price was the 3D VFX lead, and Jake Hines was the 2D VFX Lead.  This is its second festival award.

D.A.N.S is one of the latest VFX short films from Escape Studios.  Directed by Charlie Wilson and produced by Rajun MadaharD.A.N.S, tells the story of a cleanup robot that dreams of a better life.  D.A.N.S was a collaboration between undergraduate animation students and VFX students at Escape Studios, working together to create an original story.  Studio projects such as this one form part of The Escape Method; bringing together students with multiple talents to work in teams, responding to industry feedback - in this case from Industrial Light & Magic.

D.A.N.S was animated in Autodesk Maya, rendered in Arnold, and edited in Adobe Premiere.
