"Lumi" Wins "Best Animation" at 1st Film Festival

"Lumi" wins "Best Animated Short" at 1st Film Festival
Congratulations to the makers of "Lumi", which has won "Best Animated Short" at the First Film Festival.

Lumi is a short animated film created by our second year animation students at Escape Studios.  Lumi was directed by Maye Liu, co-directed by Sirisha Mutty, and produced by Amy Little.  

Lumi was completed as part of Studio Module PR5001, a collaborative module in which second-year animation students work together on short film projects. This is its fifth festival award.

Lumi tells the story of a lamp that comes alive inside a child's bedroom, and is disturbed by an unexpected visitor.

Studio Project
Lumi was was completed as part of Studio Module PR5001, a collaborative module in which second-year animation students work together on short film projects, simulating as closely as possible the environment and pipeline of a real animation studio.  Lumi was animated in Maya, rendered in Arnold, and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Lumi" was overseen by supervising tutors Marc Stevenson, an industry veteran and tutor at Escape Studios and "Mr Bean" art director Steve Sole
