Daniel Dutton CG Designer at Orange

Daniel Dutton
Many congratulations to our Escapee Daniel Dutton who has recently started work at global telecoms giant Orange as a CG Designer. 

Daniel studied the Art of Computer Animation at Escape Studios, and worked on many award-winning short films during the course of his studies.  He was the editor on the BAFTA-shortlisted Jericho, a short film about a lonely robot searching for a friend.

Daniel was also the Technical Director on the award-winning short film Minuet, managing the Unreal Engine pipeline. He also directed the award-winning short film "Working with Dinosaurs".
Orange
Daniel joins Orange, the French multinational telecommunications corporation, as a CG Designer.

Daniel was editor on Jericho
Studio Assistant
After graduation, Daniel joined our team as a studio assistant, helping undergraduate animation students to progress in their work, assisting with technical problems and also offering advice on animation techniques.

Escape Method
Studio assistants form an essential part of the feedback process at Escape Studios, part of what we call The Escape Method.

Jericho
Daniel was the editor on the VFX short Jericho, which was was shortlisted for a student BAFTA, and won Best Animation and Best VFX at the 2019 Nexus Film Festival.  It also won an award in the 2019 Zero Budget Film Festival, as well as many other festival awards. 

Minuet and Walking with Dinosaurs
Minuet
won awards for Best Animation in the 2019 Zero Budget Film Festival and Best Animation in the Golden Nugget International Film Festival, as well as many other awards.  

Daniel also directed the award-winning short film "Working with Dinosaurs"
