"Potguins" Best Micro Anim at Discover Awards

Potguins wins Best Micro Anim at Discover Fest
Congratulations to the makers of March of the Potguins, directed by Michael Vodden and produced by Daniel Brooks, which has won Best Micro Animation at the Discover Film Awards in London

March of the Potguins is about two penguin salt & pepper pots who embark on an epic journey across the kitchen counter top. 




Studio Project
The film was directed by third year student Michael Vodden and produced by Daniel Brooks. The short was completed as part of the third year animation
Module PR6001,  a Studio Project worth 60 Credits.

Working in Teams
Working with a team of ten students from both the VFX and animation departments, this collaborative short was filmed on location in London, with animation and VFX all completed at Escape Studios.


Michael Vodden
Director
Director Michael Vodden studied the Art of Visual Effects at Escape Studios. The lead animator was Lucy Harris, and cinematography was by Clement Gharini. The 3D VFX Lead was Adikah Patterson, and the Compositing Lead was Diogo Teixeira.
