The Last of London
Check out the video walk-through above of "The Last of London", excellent work completed by our second year undergraduate games students. This 12 week group project was part of a studio collaboration module, designed to replicate (as far as possible) the realities of working at a games company on a live brief. The brief was to create a game environment based in London, and styled as if it was part of Naughty Dog's Last of Us universe. You can see more about the project here.
The lead artist on the project was Fabrizio Bergamo, who created the initial art bible to set the style and the mood of the environment. Fabrizio also gave daily feedback on the assets the team was creating. The assignment brief was designed and developed by Escape Studios' Head of Games, Simon Fenton.
Our undergraduate students at Escape Studios have just completed their second year of studies, and will hit the ground running in September, having exceeded everyone's expectations on what can be achieved in such a short time. We can't wait to see how they raise their game next year, and create even more stunning artwork.
