Carine Ong Prod'n Coordinator at One of Us

Many congratulations to Carine Ong, an Escapee who studied 3D VFX and also animation back in 2010.

Carine is currently working as a production co-ordinator at London VFX pioneer One of Us, and recently gave an excellent talk at Escape Studios about her work on many VFX projects, including the most recent Star Wars release - The Last Jedi.

The latest Star Wars film was just the most recent of a number of VFX projects Carine has worked on.

Prior to working at One of Us, Carine worked at Double Negative, Method Studios, and also at Rushes.

During her talk, Carine showed some of the recent work done by One of Us, including some amazing shots from The Last Jedi.

She also explained that students at Escape Studios should be open to many different possibilities in the world of animation and VFX.

In Carine's case, her training at Escape Studios has led her to move in the production side of the industry, scheduling shots and helping to maintain an efficient production workflow.

Working as a production coordinator might not sound glamorous, but production coordinators often move on to become producers and even studio heads, in part because they develop a thorough knowledge of how the industry pipeline works, and also develop a good sense of the business side of the creative industries.
