Meet the Concept Art Team at Escape Studios.  Concept Art is one of the fastest-growing areas of study at Escape Studios, reflecting the growth not just in film and TV work, but immersive media and in-experiences such as museum installations and theme parks.  Our team of Concept Art tutors includes Steven Sole, Will Brosch and Enrico Buffa.

Will Brosch
 is an experienced Environment Artist, previously an Art-Lead and University Educator, with a background in Freelance 2D Concept-Art and Illustration. Will Brosch works in Unreal Engine and specialises in Environment-Art, Modularity, Technical-Art, Realtime VFX and Blueprints and Optimisation, as well as Concept Art and Design.

Will Brosch is experienced in VR and mobile development, with broad knowledge of the entire game-art pipeline, having shipped an indie VR title for Steam and Meta Quest Stores. 

Will Brosch teaches our first year undergraduate Concept Art students.

Steven Sole
 joins Escape Studios from Tiger Aspect Productions where he was art director on the "Mr Bean" TV Series.  Steve Sole teaches our second year undergraduate Concept Art students.  

Steve specialises in Concept Art, Character Design and Illustration. Steve also develops on short film ideas, music videos and is skilled with Zbrush and MudBox. Steve Sole has over a dozen years of studio experience across various positions in both broadcast and web animation.

Enrico Buffa
Enrico BuffaEnrico Buffa is an experienced London-based visual development artist who teaches our post graduate Concept Art students at Escape Studios. 

Enrico has worked for animation studios such as DNEG, Blue Zoo, Boulder Media, and Studio Bozzetto in Milan.  Enrico's screen credits include TransformersIt's a Pony, and Superbook

Enrico Buffa studied Communication & Multimedia in Bologna, Italy, and Visual Development & Animation at the Nemo Academy of Digital Arts in Florence.  Later Enrico studied environmental art at Animation Skillnet in Dublin.

Since then he has forged a career in animation in the UK, and from September 2026 will teach our MA in Cocnept Art and Experience Design.  

Hardware & Software

Enrico works with a Wacom Cintiq 22HD, Bamboo, Intuos tablet, as well as traditional media.  Enrico is proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, After Effects and also ZBrush.
