Sköll Aurora Wins Best Animation in New York

Congratulations to the makers of Sköll Aurora, the animated short film created by our third year graduating class of 2D animation students at Escape Studios, which has won "Best Animated Short" at the New York Movie Awards.

Sköll Aurora tells the story of light re-entering a dark and desolate world; it was written and directed by Mahamat Souleymane and produced by Amos Mathias.  This is its first festival award.

Sköll Aurora 
Sköll Aurora tells the story of a dark and desolate world in which a black sun has petrified the people leaving no signs of life.  A single wolf is unaffected by the black sun; the wolf journeys through the land and makes contact with a special petrified angel.  As they make contact,  the petrified souls are freed, and light is brought back to the world.

Software
Sköll Aurora was animated in Toonboom Harmony and edited in Premiere Pro.
