Our just-launched BSc/MSci in Technical Art for Games & VFX is now recruiting for September 2023; to see the kind of work being done, take a look at the demo reel above. This new course aims to bridge the gap between technology and art in the VFX and Games industries, teaching students to embrace the technical architecture that underpins games and VFX work, as well as the artistic side. If you are good at coding and also have an artistic eye - this course could be right for you.
Technical Artists are the bridge between code and art, they are the people who innovate solutions, write scripts, use code and maths in software packages and game engines that enable artists to make great graphics or ensure that FX simulations not only look amazing but are efficient.
Industry Jobs
Technical Artists are highly sought after in the animation, games and VFX industry, due to a shortage of talent in this field. For graduates with technical and artistic skills, there are excellent employment opportunities across games, animation and VFX.
The Escape Studios Animation Blog offers a personal view on the art of animation and visual effects. To find out more about our BA/MArt, now recruiting for September 2023, follow this link. To apply, visit the offical page here.
