Join Escape Studios' Michael Davies and St John Walker for a panel talk on "Animation in Real Time" hosted by the London International Animation Festival (LIAF), revealing the secrets of real-time rendering in Unreal Engine.

The event is free and takes place online on Sunday 5 December 2021 at 11am.

London International Animation Festival (LIAF)

The London International Animation Festival (LIAF) was founded in 2003 and takes place in London at the end in November and December 2021, screening a wide variety of films in a range of animation styles, as well as panel talks and industry events. 

Real Time Rendering

Come and hear from the animation companies and animators who have embraced the real time engine revolution and see their work; hear what using a games engine does for their creative process.

Saint John Walker and Michael Davies
The event will be chaired by Saint John Walker – Deputy Dean/Director at Escape Studios.  Michael Davies is our undergraduate program leader with a long industry track record. His main areas of expertise are rigging and modelling, but he has also worked as a 3D generalist and supervisor. He is also an Accredited Trainer for Maya at Autodesk. Michael has worked on many VFX blockbusters such as Batman vs Superman, Doctor Strange and Thor Ragnarok. He also rigged Smaug (The Hobbit) and The Minions for Illumination-McGuff.
