| Blue Zoo's "Millie & Lou" |
"Millie & Lou" is a Blue Zoo Original production for YouTube. The show stemmed from a BZ "in-house initiative", creating in-house content by developing ideas into full series productions.
Concepted by King Shuen (Mandy) Wong & Rory Cooke, the show teaches children not to judge people at face value, through adventures meeting different cultures mythical folklore characters. The series is being directed by the supremely talented Evgenia Golubeva.

Evgenia Golubeva is an award-winning animator and director who studied with us on our animation short course, and has since forged a career as a writer and independent film-maker, entering her animated films in festivals around the world and winning international prizes for her work.
Evgenia starting working in January 2019 as a writer at Blue Zoo Animation, bringing her talent as an animator and storyteller to the commercial world of TV cartoons.
Festival Success
Since leaving Escape Studios, Evgenia has made a number of successful independent animated films, including the award-winning short "I am not a Mouse", a story about a little girl who is nicknamed "Mouse" by her Mother, and is the basis for the new book.I am not a Mouse at Amazon
Some books get turned into films; in this case Evgenia's film was turned into a book, published by Child's Play publishing. You can buy "I am not a Mouse" at Amazon here.
