Escapees Win at Golden Nugget Fest March 19

The Golden Nugget Film Festival "London Edition" is back, with many Escapees and current students among the award-winning films. The festival takes place on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 8 PM – 11:30 PM in the Dreadnought Building, 30 Park Row Greenwich, London, SE10 9LS.

Our short films that have made the cut this year include "Reece", "Flame", "Adam & Eve Mk II", "Vivi Ossa", and "Jerich0". Of these films, Jerich0 will be collecting an award for Best Animated Short, Adam & Eve Mk II will be getting an award for "Best Sci-Fi", and "Vivi Ossa" will be presented an award for Best Micro Film.  Congratulations to all our talented film-makers on their continued success.

Golden Nugget Film Festival

The Golden Nugget Film Festival is a touring quarterly short film screening that takes place in four countries: The UK (London & Leeds), Germany (Munich), Bulgaria (Varna) and UAE (Dubai) with an annual award ceremony on August 2020.

The Festival also hosts film workshops and seminars with guest speakers, and is a member of the Universal Film Festival Organisation (UFFO).  The judging panel is comprised of academics and award-winning professionals working in the industry.

Awards
Jerich0 will be collecting an award for Best Animated Short, Adam & Eve Mk II will be getting an award for "Best Sci-Fi", and "Vivi Ossa" will be presented an award for Best Micro Film. There is also an audience award for the most popular film, on the night.

Greenwich 
Why not make a day of it? Greenwich is a lovely spot; you can visit the Maritime Museum, stand on the Prime Meridian, and see some of London's most beautiful buildings.  It's easy to get there by train, but best of all, take the boat from Westminster pier for one of the city's loveliest boat trips. 

Escape Studios Festival News
Many films from Escape Studios are in festivals over the coming weeks. Award-winning Offcut, a musical odyssey set inside a luthier's workshop, has been selected for the Wimbledon Library Film Club on April 19th. 
Jerich0
BAFTA-shortlisted Jerich0, directed by Sarah Andrews and produced by Matt Wight,  is in four upcoming festivals:

Adam & Eve Mk II
Multi-award-winning "Adam & Eve Mk II", directed by Sebastian Kuder, has been selected for four new festivals:
Flame
Flame, directed by Cherelle Owusu and produced by Carolina Xavier, is in two upcoming festivals:
Offcut
Offcut, directed by Petroc Menuhin, which follows the adventures of a discarded scrap of wood who comes to life and finds meaning in music, will be screened at two festivals:
Golden Acorn 
Golden Acorn directed by Maciej Osuch has been selected for the Bucharest ShortCut CineFest which takes place in Bucharest on 16th April 2020.

Home Sweet Home
Multi-award winning Home Sweet Home, directed by Maria Robertson, is in three upcoming festivals:
Minuet
Minuet, directed by Aaron Hopwood and Harry Pearson, is in the KinoFilm Manchester International Short Film Festival, 22-29 March.

Planet Mars 
Sebastian Kuder's Sci-Fi mockumentary "Planet Mars" has also been selected for the Tsiolkovsky Space Fest 
on April 9th, in Kaluga, Russia.
