Blue GFX Expo 12 November 2019

It's that time of year again. Blue GFX Expo 2019 is taking place in London on Tuesday 12th November.

I'm suspending animation classes at Escape on the day, so our 2nd year under graduate students can catch up with latest in animation, VFX and Games.
About BlueGFX Expo
To see more about BlueGFX Expo, watch the video below.  And to see our very own Lucy Harris from Escape Studios interviewed, fast forward to 1.39.

Coin St Conference Centre
Industry Developments
BlueGFX Expo is a superb opportunity to learn about the latest developments in our industry, meet industry people and peer into the future - especially the tech future.

Last year speakers included Tom Box from Blue Zoo, presenting their latest release of Panelforge, and Robert Altman from Framestore, talking about Avengers: Infinity War.

Networking
For all our students, BlueGFX Expo is a great chance to catch up with new technology and meet in person people from the UK's top animation and visual effects houses. Last year our students met Tom Box, the head of animation at Blue Zoo, and many other industry folk.

Recruiters
BlueGFX Expo is always well-attended by recruiters from London's animation and VFX houses, scouting for talent. Having the opportunity to meet recruiters in person is a great opportunity - you become a human face, not just another cv in an in-box.

When & Where
The BlueGFX annual Expo takes place on November 12th and lasts all day, at the Coin Street Centre on London's South Bank, just across Waterloo Bridge (see photo above).  The address is 108 Stamford St, London, South Bank SE1 9NH.

How to get there
The Coin Street Centre is 5 min walk from Waterloo train and tube station and Southwark tube station. You can also take the Tube to Embankment and Temple, and then walk across the river.  When you get to Stamford Street, look for the big yellow modern building.

The Escape Studios Animation Blog offers a personal view on the art of animation and visual effects. To find out more about our new BA/MArt, follow this link.  To apply, visit the offical page here.
