EscapeVerse Live: Thursday 26 Feb 2026

EscapeVerse Live, the in-person and online event hosted by Escape Studios, celebrating VFX, animation, games and tech art, concludes today. 

We're sharing behind-the-scenes insights from the best of the screen industries, including which parts of the industry are growing, and where the opportunities lie for graduates.  

Today's lineup starts at 10.30am with Bluebolt, presenting "Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale". 

At 12.30pm Outpost VFX presents the fantasy world of "The Wheel of Time". 

At 2.30pm Jake Lee presents "How to Direct an Animated Short for Festival Success".  Jake Lee's short film "Am I Dreaming?" has won many festival awards.

At 4.30pm Blue Zoo presents "Building Zoo Kit". Blue Zoo is one of Escape Studios' longest standing industry partners, with many Escapees starting their careers at Blue Zoo. 

Comics Panel at 6.30pm

Finally, at 6.30pm Comic Book UK's Mark Fuller hosts a panel on "Comic Industry Careers".  

Among the panelists is the very talented manga artist Elena Vitagliano who is teaching our Manga evening course, which starts on 24 March and runs for eight weeks.  Comics is an expanding area of creativity and employment.  Escape Studios is launching a new BA/MArt in Comics and Narrative Storytelling in September 2027.
