Escape Studios at the 2024 BAA Awards

2024 BAA Awards
Last night the UK animation industry celebrated the winners at the biennial British Animation (BAA) Awards at London's South Bank.

A number of Escapees and current students at Escape Studios volunteered to help out on the night.  Many thanks to current students Alfie Williams, Yusuf Uddin and Escapee Oliver Gallagher, whose hard work helped make the evening a success.

Many thanks to current students Alfie Williams,  Yusuf Uddin and Escapee Oliver Gallagher, who helped make the evening a success.   BAA President Helen Brunsdon said "Escape Studios students and Escapees did a lovely job - we were delighted to have them help us out on the night".

Volunteering
We strongly encourage all our students to volunteer for industry events like this one. It's a great chance to build informal connections in the industry and find out what job opportunities are out there.

British Animation Awards 2022
The BAAs take place every two years at London's South Bank.  Two years ago the BAAs offered our students a special challenge - to animate an Ident for the Awards Ceremony at the BFI on 10 March.  To see the official BAA idents created by our talented students, follow this link.  In all our students animated around a dozen idents, which you can find here at our YouTube Channel.

The Escape Studios Animation Blog offers a personal view on the art of animation and visual effects. To apply for one of our courses, follow this link.
