Daniel Amor 3D Runner at The Mill

The Mill
Many congratulations to Escapee Daniel Amor has recently landed a position as a 3D Runner at The Mill.

Daniel took our 12 week intensive animation course here at Escape Studios and, after the end of the course, continued to polish his demo reel.

Working as a runner is a well-established and effective way to break into the animation and vfx industries.

Daniel Amor
Most of the big Soho VFX houses use both runner positions and internships as stepping-stones on to a full time creative role.

Some of Daniel's best work was creature animation; in particular the excellent shot below in which he matched live action reference of a leopard, using the free leopard rig by Truong.

Being able to match live action reference and accurately reproduce it to create an animal or creature performance is one of the key skills in the animator's toolkit.

We congratulate Daniel on taking his first steps in the business.

You can see more of Daniel's work at his official site.
