Storyboarding is coming back to Escape Studios on June 6th 2018, taught by the very talented Francesca Adams, a storyboard artist at Blue Zoo in London. It's an evening class, one night a week each wednesday, designed to fit around life, jobs and families. To get an idea of what's involved in the art and craft of storyboarding, watch our free video webinar above, which offers a brief introduction to the basic principles of storyboarding and what it's all about.
To find out more about storyboarding, and in particular what free software tools are out there, see this post on the free storyboard software "Storyboarder", and also his post on the free software "Panel Forge", which has been developed by Blue Zoo.
To see some Storyboard success stories, read about how Escapee Fred O'Rourke got a job storyboarding on a feature film, and how Escapee Dominika Brodowska found work at Cloth Cat in Cardiff.
If you're looking for a great book on storyboarding, we recommend this one by the super talented Nancy Beiman.
Also check out some of the excellent free Pixar resources at YouTube, including this excellent video showing a storyboard pitch by Joe Ranft, and another Pixar video here.
