What Will You Do In 2016?

The period between Christmas and New Year is a good time to reflect on the past twelve months, and also make plans for the future. After all, it's just about the only time of year when everything stops. No emails, few phone calls - time at last to think and reflect. And time also to look forward to 2016, and wonder how best to use the coming year. If you want to start a career in digital media, now is the time to make the changes.

Head over to the big London VFX houses such as Framestore, MPC, Double Negative and Cinesite and you will find Escapees everywhere. Our short courses have long been the gateway to a career in VFX.

We've been here in Shepherd's Bush in West London for almost fifteen years and, while we don't have exact numbers, we think we have around 4,000 Escapees now working in the Animation, Games and VFX Industries.  That's a pretty good track record, and one of which we are very proud.

What makes us different? The quality of our tutors, all of whom have direct, relevant industry experience, and keep up to date with the latest tools and technologies.

Partly it's the focus of our students, almost all of who come to Escape with one goal in mind - making the very best they can of their time here, and putting together an excellent demo reel so they can find work in the industry.

At the recent UCAS Expo in Manchester, I realised had to explain to visitors to our stand that the work shown in our demo reel is not student work.  Why? Because the standard of work we were were showing was so far superior to anything else on display at the Expo, that people simply assumed it was done by professionals.

And when I went on to explain that this is work done by students in just three months of study at Escape Studios, most were astonished.

We're proud of our record in placing students in industry, not just because of our good connections (though we have those), but because of the very high standards that our students reach.

Come along to one of our open days, experience days, or taster days, and check out how we can help you become a professional animator, games artist, or VFX artist in 2016.
