VES Needs Volunteers For Their Christmas Party!

The VES - that's the Visual Effects Society - is hosting a Christmas party tonight, Thursday 17th December (from 12 noon through to midnight) and they need some volunteers to help them to welcome guests and other small tasks.

This is a great chance for our students to meet professional VFX artists in an informal setting, make contacts, have some fun, and do some serious networking.

Fitzroy Square, London
What's this all about?
It's the annual VES Christmas Party, and they need volunteers to help make the party a success.

But won't volunteers just be working?
No. VES is scheduling shifts to allow everyone who helps at least 1/3 of their time free to mingle with the guests and enjoy the event, so it's a genuine opportunity for students to meet artists and professionals from the industry. Believe it or not, it's also something you can put on your CV.

Anything else?
Yes! VES are also offering Volunteers a seat at their next big screening (likely to be Jan 10th). If they have extra tickets, they also will keep you on their list to invite to future events.

Is it a paid gig?

No. This is strictly for volunteers.

Where and when?
The party will take place in Fitzroy Square in central London on Thursday 17th December from noon until midnight.

How do you get in touch?
If you are interested please send an email to Denise ASAP on denise@ves.london, specifying your availability (full shift / shorter shift if you are not able to join for the entire time).
