Set in Italy and inspired by a real-life love story from Verona, Italy"Quarantine Chorus" is a short story about the persistence of the human spirit under difficult circumstances.  Directed by Edoardo Sartori and produced by Nickoel Izharudin, the film was based on an original idea by Tequila Mason.

Quarantine Chorus
About PR5001
Our second year animation students have just completed the second half of Studio Module PR5001, in which they collaborate together on short film projects.  Over the past seven weeks six students created the short film Quarantine Chorus; the film was animated in Maya, and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Unreal Engine
Quarantine Chorus, like a growing number of short films at Escape Studios, was rendered in real time Unreal Engine.

Covid-19
The film was completed entirely from home during the Covid Pandemic. Our students collaborated remotely, animated and rendered their shots relying entirely on their own home resources.

Industry feedback
The team were fortunate to have veteran animation Producer Max Howard joining us for online feedback on the project.  Max is a film producer and studio executive who has run animation divisions at Disney, DreamWorks and Warner Bros Feature Animation.

Industry feedback is at the heart of what we do at Escape Studios; it helps our students to connect with the commercial world and make sure we're teaching industry-relevant skills.

Festival Success
Capturing the zeitgeist, Quarantine Chorus has already been selected for two film festivals:
Topical, funny and, at just 60 seconds, very very short, we're confident that Quarantine Chorus will have considerable festival success.
