BA/MArt in Animation Starts Sept 2019

Rocket, animated at MPC in London
Here at Escape Studios we are now taking applications for our four-year BA/MArt in computer animation, now recruiting for September 2019.

So, what's in the course, and what do potential students need to know in order to make a successful application?

What's this course all about?
Computer animation, with a strong focus on teaching practical skills, such as character and creature animation.

3D Animators at Escape Studios also learn pre-production skills such as design and storyboarding, and also learn the visual effects and games pipelines, so that all our animation graduates are ready to work in teams in industry.

What is a BA/MArt?
A MA/MArt is an integrated Masters degree. That means you can stay with us for three years and earn a Batchelor of Arts (BA). Plus, you can stay on for an extra year, and graduate with a Master of Arts (MArt).  We recommend that applicants apply for the full four years, because it's easier to get funding for the final year if you apply up front.

Who is awarding the degree?
Kent University is our validating partner.  So, although you will study at Escape Studios in central London, you will receive a degree from the University of Kent.

Who teaches the course?
The course was designed by me, Alexander Williams, and is taught by myself and the other animation tutors at Escape Studios, including Michael Davies ("The Hobbit") and Amedeo Beretta ("Paul"), as well as many visiting tutors.
