Jerich0 Winner at Leeds Young Film Festival

Many congratulations to the makers of Jerich0, which has won an award at Leeds Young Film Festival, the latest in a string of festival successes.

Jerich0 has won multiple festival awards; it won Best Animation at the Melrose Film Festival in Orlando, Florida, was shortlisted for a student BAFTA, and won Best Animation and Best VFX at the 2019 Nexus Film Festival.  Jerich0 also won an award in the 2019 Zero Budget Film Festival,  was selected for the BFI London Film Festival, and won "Best Animation" at the Golden Nugget Film Festival.

Jerich0 placed third in the competition, and received many approving comments from the young jury.

Jury comments included: "It was really good because it has a happy ending.", "The camera shots were cool and the robot looked very cool, I thought the use of lights on the robots bodies were cool" and "I like this because he was alone and tried to MAKE a friend but it didn't work then he tried again".

Jerich0 is a short film about a lonely robot who builds a friend. It was directed by Sarah Andrews and completed by our third year undergraduate animation students as part of PR6001, a studio project in which students collaborate to create a short film.

Offcut, directed by Petroc Menuhin, is a multiple-award winning short which follows the adventures of a discarded scrap of wood who comes to life and finds meaning in music.

Offcut will be screened at two upcoming festivals:

Jelly Cars
Award-winning Jelly Cars, directed by Lee Caller,  has been selected for the Kesari Movie Awards, 29 April 2021

"Draw", directed by Martin Kamminga, which won a Four Stars Award at the British International Amateur Film Festival, has been selected for the Heroes Film Festival, Rome, May 30th

Joe,  directed by Callum Reeve, won a Four Stars Award at the British International Amateur Film Festival, and has been selected for two upcoming festivals:

The Good Old Days
The Good Old Days, the 2019 short film directed by Sebastian Kuder, has been selected for Le Plein Super in France on May 1st.
