Pip Cowen Wins "Most Valuable Player" Award

Philippa "Pip" Cowen wins "Most Valuable Player"
Many congratulations to Escapee Philippa "Pip" Cowen who won the "Most Valuable Player" Award in the Class of Animation at the Escape Studios Graduation Showcase last week.  

While at Escape Studios Pip studied the Art of Computer Animation, and contributed her talents to many animation projects, winning multiple festival awards. 

Backtrack

In her second year at Escape Studios, Pip directed "Backtrack", a teaser/trailer for an animated film telling the story of a young athlete who is bullied at school.  The Backtrack trailer was directed by Philippa "Pip" Cowen and produced by Sihaam "Simu" Weheliye - and has won many festival awards.

In her final year of study Pip contributed to "Void", a short film created by our third year undergraduate animation students at Escape Studios, which has also won many festival awards.

Pip also worked on D.A.N.S in her final year.  Directed by Charlie Wilson and produced by Rajun Madahar, D.A.N.S, tells the story of a robot gone wrong. D.A.N.S was a collaboration between third year undergraduate animation students and VFX students at Escape Studios, working together to create an original story.

Studio projects such as these one form part of The Escape Method; bringing together students with multiple talents to work in teams, responding to industry feedback.
