Animation Taster Days 13th & 27th September

We're running two more Animation Taster Days here at Escape Studios, on Wednesday 13th September, and Wednesday 27th September. Taster Days are a great chance to learn about character and creature animation, and find out what an animator's job is all about.

You will learn how to use Autodesk Maya and get a hands-on introduction to 3D Animation techniques, all for just £25! By the end of the day you'll have your own piece of animation uploaded to your YouTube channel.  So, how do you sign up?

What's this all about?
This one-day taster course gives you get an introduction to the art of 3D Animation, exploring what it’s like to work as a professional animator. We'll take you through the animation process from start to finish, ending up with a finished movie file.

What kind of animation does Escape Studios teach?
We teach 3D character and creature animation, with a strong focus on getting our students into paid employment in the rapidly expanding animation and visual effects industry.

When and where is it happening?
Wednesday 13th September, and Wednesday 27th September at Escape Studios, Shepherds West, Rockley Road, London W14 0DA, from 9:30am until 4pm. To sign up, follow this link.

How do you get there?
We're super easy to reach, just a short walk from Shepherd's Bush Tube Station, Shepherd's Bush Market Tube Station, Goldhawk Rd Tube Station, and Shepherd's Bush Overground. And tons of bus routes.

How much does it cost?
Shepherd's Building, our home in Shepherd's Bush
£25.00. And this is refundable if you book onto a course at Escape Studios.

Do we provide lunch?
We do! Lunch (the finest sandwiches in Shepherd's Bush) and coffee is free!

What will you learn?
Working with tools such as Autodesk Maya and the Adobe Creative Suite, you’ll get a hands-on introduction to 3D Animation techniques.

We'll be doing some very cool stuff in the classroom, and by the end of the day you will have your very own piece of finished animation uploaded to YouTube.

Who is teaching it?
I am. I have worked on over twenty five animated feature films, from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" to "Lion King", The Iron Giant, Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter.   You can see some of my work below.
