Escape Studios Drawing Club Starts 14 Feb

Life drawing is returning to Escape Studios, as we launch a new Drawing Club for students to practice their drawing skills.

All students and all skill levels are welcome. Even if you're just a beginner, and can barely draw a stick figure - come along and get stuck in.

Our Studio Assistants will be on hand to lead the class, presenting drawing challenges such as quick gesture drawings to capture a fast pose.

Life drawing isn't necessarily the vital skill it used to be when animation was all hand-drawn, but it's still an important part of the animator's toolkit.

Being able to capture a pose, or - better yet - a series of poses, is an important skill to master as it helps the animator to plan their work, creating small, rough sketches or "thumbnail drawings" that help figure out how the shot is going to work out.

Where and When?
The Drawing Club will take place at both of our Campuses, Shepherd's Bush and High Holborn. Look out for the poster on notice boards and sign up underneath if you’d like to attend.

Classes are on wednesday afternoons from 2pm to 3pm, and from 4.30pm to 5.30pm, and the first class is February 14th. Rooms to be confirmed.

How much does it cost?
Classes are free for all our students
