BA/MArt in 3D Animation Starts 26 September

Award-winning "Shimmer"
Escape Studios is still welcoming applications for our BA/MArt in The Art of Computer Animation, recruiting for September 2022.

Applications are through UCAS, and you can find out more about the course at the official site here.

Our BA/MArt in animation was first launched in 2015, and our first group of animation students graduated in 2019, going on to find jobs and success in the industry.

In recent years our students have won hundreds of awards and prizes, and we have consistently been ranked in the Top 5 Animation Schools in the UK for the past three years.

Alan Lewis External Examiner BA/MArt 3D Animation

Alan Lewis
Meet Alan Lewis, our new External Examiner for our integrated BA/Mart in 3D animation at Escape Studios.  External examiners play an important part of quality control in UK higher education, ensuring that our courses meet the highest standards, and the grades awarded are correct and appropriate.

We're honoured to have Alan onboard; he is Head of the Division of Creative Technologies for the School of Arts and Creative Industries at South Bank University. In this role, he is responsible for the overall operation and development of the VFX, Games, Digital Design, Sound, and Journalism BA/BSc degrees. UCAS Deadline - January 15th

UCAS - time to apply
Thinking of applying to Escape Studios to study the Art of 3D Animation, Games or Visual effects?  The UCAS deadline of January 15th is fast approaching.  We are welcoming applications for the third intake of our new integrated BA/MArt in Animation, Games and VFX - just launched in September 2016.

One of the most common questions I get asked at Open Days is "should I wait to apply until I have finished my portfolio?" - to which the answer is definitely "no".  Get your application in early, and worry about your portfolio later. You'll have plenty of time before attending one of our Creative Workshops to pull your portfolio together.

Teaser for our BA/MArt in 3D Animation Now Live!

Check out our brand-new teaser above for our new integrated BA/MArt in the Art of 3D Animation. Our new course launches in September 2016, and our goal is to be the best 3D animation course in the country. That's a big ambition, but check out the work done by our students above. When I go to Open Days and UCAS events to talk about our work, I have to remind visitors that all the work they see on our demo reel (including all the work shown above) is done by our students - not by industry professionals. And the shots you see were done in just three months of study at Escape Studios, on our short courses. Now, just imagine what you could achieve in three years.
