TRaP
Our first year undergraduate students are taking a mini-module titled TRaP (Teams, Roles & Personalities), a workshop class about the importance of teamworking. This is part of CR4002, the Creative Foundations Module, which all our students tackle in their first year of studies at Escape Studios.
Teamwork at Framestore
Andrew drew on real-life examples from Framestore to illustrate the difficulties, and the benefits, of artists learning the skills needed to work together in effective teams.
Benefits of working in teams
Andrew emphasizes the benefits of being a good team player in order to:
a) become better at what you do as an artist
b) work on large scale projects
c) become (and remain) more employable
Team Projects at Escape Studios
Here at Escape Studios we put team projects at the very core of what we do. Team projects are often difficult to run, and sometimes lead to unhappy participants.
But being able to work together effectively in a team is one of the most important skills we can give our students, making them much more employable as creative artists.
Our most successful student films, such as Jericho and Home Sweet Home, which are winning prizes in international festivals, are all the product of teamwork.
Our 3rd year animation & VFX students pool their resources and skills to create outstanding film projects, with a broader scope and greater reach than they could achieve working alone.
The Escape Studios Animation Blog offers a personal view on the art of animation and visual effects. To find out more about our new BA/MArt, now recruiting for September 2020, follow this link. To apply, visit the official page here.
