Concept Artists work closely with the director and the production designer, helping to determine the look and feel of a production.
Increasingly, concept artists work in-house at production houses to help visual effects studios sell their services, impressing clients with beautiful artwork and helping to land big VFX contracts.

What's involved?
Cenay introduces students to a wide variety of techniques, showing students how to achieve excellent results with a wide variety of different approaches, gradually improving skills over the ten weeks of the course.
Skill and Speed
Every shot is different, and part of the skill of the concept artist is knowing how to get the best result in the shortest amount of time.
After all, clients want great results and they want them quickly.
Cenay shows students how to combine 3D software with 2D techniques to create finished, polished artwork.
In-class exercises involve the creation of a simple 3D model, such as a castle, applying a basic texture, and then combining this with a photographic plate.
